I'd like to lend support to below- I planted my peas early last year and
while they were still in the ground, I planted pole beans in 1st week of
June. The beans and peas seemed perfectly content together, and when the
peas were done, I pulled them out, leaving the pole beans, which were about
6 inches high at the time, and just starting to find the trellis.
