Hi everyone,
Since everyone is talking peas, I have a question. I've neglected the
garden this last week because of the rains and my snow peas went nuts. I
peeked outside after reading the list (flashlight in hand, rain just pouring
down) and saw snow peas that looked more like shelling peas. Am I going to
be able to use the peas like shelling peas? Will they be as sweet? Or have
I just lost all of these to drying for seeds for next year?
At least the new trellis worked. Last year the rain caused the peas to fall
over.
I did notice that the rain is starting to cause a mild fungas in my peas.
Looks like powdery mildew to me. I also forgot to put down a mulch before
the rains started and I'm suffering now. If it everstops raining I'm going
to put mulch down after things dry. I hope I'm not too late. This looked
like it was going to be a steller year on peas.
What say you gardners?
