Never tried but sounds like it would work!! I'll be growing cantelopes up a
trellis this year in my garden. Might have to try the sling with them.
I've gotten some of the Sugar Baby Watermelon seeds that I plan on trying to
grow this year. We've usually had plenty of luck with watermelons before in
a regular garden. I'm hoping to have more success with watermelons in a sq
ft garden.
the Sugar Baby watermelons are not supposed to take up lots of room so I plan
on planting a hill of them right in the middle of the garden. Then I'll use
the black plastic mulch to help keep the moisture in the soil. I'll
probably use some straw on top of the plastic to keep the sun from getting too
hot.
Now, my problem is that giant pumpkin that my dear son wants to grow. he's
already bought the seed.
