I keep seeing these suggestions for growing blueberries in containers, and
I have a basic question: where do their roots go? Blueberries, I know, are
shallow-rooted, and the roots spread out. They do not have hair roots to
uptake water, but rather they have sponge-like growths at the ends of their
shallow roots to take in water. It seems to me that there's precious little
room for the roots in a conventional container that's deeper than it is
wide. Has anyone successfully grown blueberries in containers? For at least
two years? Thank you. Margaret L
