>The Sunset zones, established by Sunset Books, are the most useful for
>the Western states but lass so for the Eastern US. The zones consider
>winter lows, summer highs, length of growing season, humidity, rainfall
>patterns, latitude, elevation, continental air influence, and local
>terrain.
>Olin, a question about this. If the USDA zones are about winter lows,
and the AHS zones are about summer highs, wouldn't the Sunset zones
be the most useful, even for eastern states, since it appears to
consider both at once?

*I think you'll find it's called Sunset Western, for cause.
Even so. Some will want high, some lows, some both.
I will want to average this, that, not the other.
Then that and th other.
Then this, and the other, to see what 'feels' good.
Hidden relationships jump out when I graph things form the data.
I will need a convertible. Not a hardtop, or open top.
I will want some data there, but subliminal.
To save and store the spreadsheet, do a new version,
modified from the old, tested. Played with. to do a change,
upload, recompile, download... not handy. OK for an Alpha
perhaps within a team...maybe.
The "consider both," was yet another data source...Ortho.
If a new one comes to light in a week, I'll want to instantly
sit down and plug it in, to see if it holds any ramifications,
or not. If I had a CD player,(music) it would be programmable
to skip and add tracks. I march to the beat of the drummer
I hear, that day. For maybe a month. Then I consider
upgrading myself. My data system. I grow. It grows.
Hmmmm. El Nino! How shall I add that.
Ahhhh! The 11 year sunspot cycle!
How shall I interassimilate that?
Excuse me...
Bill
