Change in health dictates a need for raised beds. I've spent 30 years
adding organic matter to my soil, and don't want to start over on what
someone else characterizes as "topsoil." I'm looking for least labor
intensive, and think I have a cunning plan. That is, to hire someone with a
Bobcat or similar vehicle to scrape my topsoil into ridges, then we build
raised bed holders (I'm thinking of 2X10s plus 2X6s, to give me about 18
inches in height or less.) I would supplement my topsoil with others'
"topsoil", preferably putting the latter on the bottom. I guess scrape out
an area, bring some of the "topsoil" in, then top that with my own
topsoil. i think this would be a lot easier than building raised beds then
shoveling soil into them. What thinkest you? Thank you, Margaret L
