Hi-I had cilantro do the same thing- don't know whether it is an annual or
what(????) but I need all the flowers I can get near my veggie beds so I
welcomed the reappearance altho it didn't taste nearly as good as the first
year around.Hey guess what- I know I sound really stupid- but there is light
brights , and kale coming back full force in my beds- they kind of went to
sleep for a bit but they are doing great now. I thought you had to put in
whole new plants- whats the deal- are they pereneals or what?Also-Anybody
ever grown Kolrabi and what suggestions do you have- for zone 9- dierct
seed- or transplant- Zone 9 is so confusing because it thinks it is spring
when it isn't and you get hot so quick that you almost miss the opportunity
to grow late winter early winter stuff if you don't know what you are doing
( which I don't) and yet you still get the occsasional dreaded frost in Feb
or March that can blow the whole deal. and the ground isn't warn enough to
make things grow happy. I think. It is unpredictable.I am guessing Don't
know why I get so itchy to get started. I know that the ground doesn't
freeze here and that there is plenty of things that I can be doing and I
am....... but I want to PLANT SOMETHING!!!!!!! DiD not plant anything early
last winter-spring(like peas) and was sick most of the fall so missed out on
that season so would like to do something late winter. This is only my
second year around in veggie gardening and I have much to learn.Got my
containers all set up and ready and trying to be smart about when plant
what. Also doing flowers. Boy is there alot to know. I am amzed that I ever
got anything to grow. For years I just gardened willynilly(flowers
gardensed) and hadn't a clue what I was doing and now I have read all theses
books and I am so darned confused that my confidence has just
evaporated!LOL!!-Teri
