My husband, trying to surprise me, went and picked up 70 landscaping timbers from Lowes Home Improvement and is planning to build me several raised beds.
I think I read somewhere that you aren't supposed to use landscaping timbers because they leach something into the soil? Can anyone clear this up for me?
I don't want to have him go to all this work, to not be able to plant our veggie garden in the squares.
And if you CANNOT use the landscaping timbers, what would you recommend that we use instead.
I try to be very aware of and prevent my family from exposure to poisons, chemicals and toxins. I realize that there are some that I have on control over, but I do try to make sure that those I DO have some say over, stay away from my loved ones!
Thanks for any help you can give us!
