Two years ago, I bought my male hybrid asparagus plants from Jersey
Asparagus Farms. Contact them and they will tell you which plants are the
best for your region and growing conditions. Two years ago their catolog
was free.

It takes two years to establish an asparagus bed from two-year old
crowns. I cut cautiously last year, but this spring will be the pay-off.
I'm looking forward to cutting every tender succulent sprout that's more
than 3 inches tall.
