Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I mostly lurk here, but if the list is seeking more traffic I'll post
an update on my first attempt at a garden.
The lettuce went to seed. I knew lettuce had a short life cycle, but
didn't realize just *how* short. We hardly got to eat any of it,
because I was thinking it would grow more. :-\
In other bad news, a dog or something got into my onions and dug most
of them up. I have replanted them, but I don't know if they'll recover.
The tomatoes never sprouted. I think they probably died during that
late cold snap.
Half of my cucumbers came up, and they seem to be doing pretty well.
We should have some edible cukes soon. One of the pepper plants is
also looking good, although the other seems stunted.
All in all, this has been a good learning experience. Next year I'm
going to sprout the tomatoes and peppers indoors and just transfer
them outside when the weather gets nice. I may try this with some of
the other veggies too, to stagger the harvest more.
We got a few veggies out of it, and I've learned quite a few things
*not* to do. Not bad for my first attempt at a garden.

a confused bunch of people to run it."
