RE: what do you make your raised beds from?
Long time lurker here. I couldn't resist replying about the "ugly" cement
blocks. I have two raised beds with a walkway in between, and I planted
flowers in the holes of the cement blocks. Even in the winter when my
garden is fairly dormant, I still have a lovely bed of flowers in my "ugly"
cement blocks. I live in California, so the flowers bloom all year long.
