Re: A couple questions (Re: Zucchini) -Reply

Thanks Lisa- what I thought was strange was the zuchini didn't grow
larger everywhere at once. It started at one end and ballooned up the
fruit almost like when you blow up a balloon. Is this normal?

If your zucchini is huge--it was time to pick it about a week ago!
Zucchini gets large VERY rapidly. Pick them when they are the size of
small cucumbers--take a look in your local grocery store at their
zucchini if you're still unsure.

I used to have someone working in my office who fed my large zucchini
in
pieces to her oscar fish --she said they gulped them like chicken. But
generally, humans prefer their zucchini small and tender.

Be ready to pick them VERY frequently--zucchini produce sort of like
bunnies do!

Happy Eating!

them!)
