On the advice of a friend years ago I tried freezing my corn in the husk.
Now that's the only way I do it. I simply put the ears in a bag and put
them in the freezer. It saves an enormous amount of time. I don't have to
go to the trouble of blanching them. The freezing stops the sugar from
turning to starch so that's a non-sequitur.
