I live in Florida and have a huge problem with nematodes. I solicited advice from some gardening buddies who are organic and came up with the following suggestions. List users, please jump in anywhere with your advice so we can stomp them out (humanely, of course. -Super saturate the soil and cover it with 4 mil plastic for a month or so. -Over plant with dwarf french marigolds and plow 'em under. -Plant as usual but intersperse dwarf french marigolds. -Spray with a weak solition of white Karo Syrup. I guess they hate the sugar. -Most suggested: add loads of organic matter. They tend to thrive in poor, sandy soil. Everyone, please share comments and suggestions with the list!
