Cukes and Squash Vine Borers?

I made a place for 2 Burbee Burbless cukes in my very small (16x2.5)
SqFG in the back. I have nylon mesh with 6" holes behind and I have
trained the little monsters to grow upwards. My first cuke is just
about ready.

I noticed yesterday that one of my plants is drooping significantly.
The leaves are very limp and dead looking. It looks like it isn't
getting enough water. But, like the rest of the country, we've had
plenty of rain here in Wisconsin. It also looks exactly like my
zucchini looked when the squash vine borers got to them.

Can vine borers do in cukes as well? I didn't think that cukes were
in the squash family.
