If the bug is 'fuzzy', I'd say it may be a cow ant. I don't think they're
really ants, but look like giant ants. The red stripes look like velvet. I
don't think it's a bad bug. The old timers used to say if you kill one, your
cows will die. I don't think that's likely either, but I've always been
careful not to harm them, just in case I get cows again!
I saw one on a game trail yesterday, and remembered someone had a bug
identity problem.
