Celeriac found!

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Hi - response to old post, but I found your celeriac source. Shepherds
Garden Seeds sells celeriac seeds. Their description is below. Their
website is www.shepherdseeds.com.

"The best celeriac we’ve found, hands down, for easy culture
and exceptional quality. You’ll find Mentor’s rich mellow flavor
perfect braised in broth or shredded for winter salads, as is
the custom in Austria. In soups or stews, its nutty flavor and
creamy texture add a smooth, aromatic richness. Mentor
tolerates cold weather well and is even sweeter after the first
frost. Hybrid, approx. 800 seeds, 110 days."

Also, Pinetree Garden Seeds has it as well. Their web site is
www.superseeds.com. It is found in their "Continental Vegetables"
section. The description of what they carry is below:

"C12. CELERIAC-LARGE PRAGUE (112 days)

A cousin of celery that is grown in the same way, but is harvested for
the unsightly root. Unpopular in the US, it is considered an estimable
vegetable throughout Europe. It is most common in France in the
Celeri-rave remoulade, a tasty appetizer consisting of celeriac, sharp
mustard and other condiments, and throughout the continent in soups,
gratins, and with seafood.
500 seeds .55"
