Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Hi Deb - welcome! Check Virtual Gardener at www.vg.com to find out your
zone. They will also tell you when your frost dates are so you can count
the weeks back from times of maturity on different veggies and see if
you have enough time for another crop.

I had the same problem with my peas a couple years ago. I had a major
slug and snail problem and didn't know it until I went out at midnight
once with a flashlight. The little critters had completely defoliated
my pea seedlings! Luckily there is now an organic snail bait that you
can use around veggies!

Kim, zone 9, so cal
