Contender bush beans are heavy bearing and have superb flavor. The best of
any beans I've eaten. Some packets say 42 days to maturity, some say 48,
but whatever, they're fast to mature and great beans. They may be in cheap
seed racks in your local area, too. They were originally bred by the USDA
in the 1940s, when the USDA was still a friend to taxpayers. Margaret L
