I am trying to carry his advise one step further by placing plants
4 inches apart which is four per foot but I also put plants on the line
between squares. My first attempt got frost bite but half survived
and is over a foot tall already. Chipmunks got my second planting
but I covered the bed with screen and planted again. They don't
seem to bother the plants once they get started. I will try to post a
couple picture of the second bed as it grows. Be nice to tell mel I
am getting twice what he claimed. With all the stuff I put in the
soil mix and using compost tea to water the garden the plants
shouldn't go hungry even at my tight spacing. That will be the first
place I put soaker hoses as it will be tight to get the water in
without drowning the leaves.
