Jim, if the farmer sprayed his pasture for thistle or knapweed, etc., using 
a spray containing Clopyralid or Picloram, that herbicidal action will show 
up in the manure too.  Those sprays are safe for mammals, allegedly, but 
the sprays go right through the animals unchanged.  Margaret L
