The first flowers are always male flowers, and they fall off pretty quickly. Female flowers (those that have a tiny version of the fruit just behind the flower) come later. Sometimes even those fall off if conditions are not good (that is, that temperatures are within their preferred range). If female fruits are falling off, come back with the question again, and tell us where you live and what the weather has been like.
