My basil usually grows like mad, and I have found that it's a lot like a cut and come again flower--the more you cut it the more it grows! I often prune it WAY down to cook up huge batches of tomato/ basil sauce, and it comes back stronger than ever. Meanwhile, it's still so chilly here, I just bought my basil plants. At least my broccoli and peas are happy with the weather, though since the rains began I haven't been able to get NEAR my garden! Lisa (Alexandria,VA.
