Hi,
There are 7.48 gallons per cubic foot of water, and each gallon weighs app
8 pounds.
I would suggest even if the soil was saturated with water, it would weigh
less than this amount. In otherwords, this would be a max. No more than
60 pounds per cubic foot.
Take a five gallon bucket of water, and a five gallon bucket of the soil.
Compare the weights if possible, or estimate a ratio of soil weight over
water weight. Multiply this by 60 and you should have a decent estimate.
