We have been harvesting little bits of squash here and there for over a week now (and eaten it twice-YUM) and a few days ago I noticed at the very base of our yellow squash plants these big dusty black bugs whose shells seem to be hard and come to a point at their rear. Sorry about the poor description. Does anyone know what they are and what I should do? I sprayed them with vinegar but they came back. They look mean and they dodge when I try to pick them off and squish them.
