Hi!
There is a mailing list that may be better able to help you. It's sanet
- sustainable agriculture. I can't find their address right now. There
is also a permaculture-mg list from almanac@ces.ncsu.edu Let me know if
you want sanet's address and I'll poke around and see what I can find.
(Sanet is where I would look first).
I will try to get you hooked up with Joel Gruver, he's getting a degree
in sustainable agriculture.
Also ATTRA (Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas - a federal
government agency to encouragement sustainable agriculture) surely will
have a packet of information on Intensive Market Gardening or something
like that. Their number is: 1-800-346-9140. You can also send an email
to Anne Fanatico ANNEF@NCATFYV.UARK.EDU She is very helpful, and has
helped me with our pastured poultry. ATTRA also helped with growing
organic grains, soybean prep for livestock feed, and sustainable dairying.
Another lead: John Jeavons book _How to Grow More Than You Ever Thought
Possible on Less Land Than You Ever Thought Possible_ or something like
that. We are considering intensively planting wheat and oats and
buckwheat on our 14 acres.
Sorry, I'm off topic, but if we can get the bigger places more
sustainable, we've made a huge leap.
Marcy
