Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
There's (understandably) so much bad news on this list, cutworms, aphids,
cutworms, more cutworms... I thought I'd say something happy.
This is my first year gardening, and (despite the ravages of the cutworms in
my garden) I've made my first harvest. I pulled some swiss chard, spinach,
leaf lettuce, and romaine lettuce, and had a beautiful salad from it. Yummm!
Well, they're not *delicious*, but the joy comes from having grown most
of it from seed. I LOVE these crops that offer a continual harvest!
Also, if anyone remembers, a while ago I complained that my carrots were
taking forever to appear. Well they finally did -- not every single one,
but enough that hopefully a few will survive to maturity.
Bye!
