I just discovered little patches of foamy stuff on leaves and stocks of
plants. I resembles(if you'll pardon the expression)spittle. Does anyone
know what it is and or how to get rid of it and the critter that created it?
It isn't tent worms---we had those a couple of times before.
Oh, incase no one answered the question about the plants whose leaves were
turning into green lace--I had that one year and the extention service said
it was leaf miners. They get betwee the top and bottom of the leaves and
suck out everything in between. The extention service offered no organic
solution-- the suggested diazinon. I used my homemade hot pepper, tobacco
infusion(water which I soaked tobacco in for several days) and dish soap and
it did the trick for me. I just dilute it and strain it and spray it in the
cool part to the day. Sorry I have never been exact about the measurements.
Bonnie C mt.zone 5 taking her hat off to anyone who can tell me what to do
about those very poor mannered critters expectorating on my garden.
