My mom used to grow rhubarb and going from memories she usually harvested
early in the year as soon as it was big enough and usually quit
haharvesting about this time of year, or a little later, so it would put
the energy into next year's crop.

A while back I ran across a web site that has "more than you ever wanted to
know about rhubarb". It has information about growing it, eating it and
much more. It also has over 300 rhubarb recipes. The url is:
