You really need to find out what is causing this before you try to treat it.
If it is chiggers they are acting completely different than any chiggers I
ever met. If it were not seriously affecting your health you could make a
test with a wide brimmed hat, but...

Anything that is affecting your lymph and ears -requires- medical attention,
with no fooling around.
