Re: Crop Rotation/growing onion sets

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Frankly you crack me up friend Frank,
What you say makes sense to me, but then I was a social worker and I can't be
trusted to have any sense left. I have let some tomato volunteers go and
they did well--producing smallish tomatoes in between cherry and regular,
with no diseases. But I figured I was just lucky. My garden is so small
that I don't have room for all I need to grow and the upper three 3x30ft beds
are more and more shaded by a walnut tree I was happy to have and planted in
the onlyest place I could plant it(we have butchered the poor thing trying to
keep the shade off the garden)and to make a long story longer--I can't rotate
my crops as they should be since I only have a couple of really sunny beds
for tomatoes and peppers (we grow several types of peppers and tomatoes)and I
rotate the cole crops and squash with them. You can see from my long
sentences one reason I gave up writing.
2nd issue: I had requested a treatise from friend Bill on how to grow one's
own onion sets. I guess he was too busy or away or didn't have an answer for
me. And zoooh: does anyone know how to grow onion sets for the next years
planting?
Thanks in advance
Bonnie C.
