Try Neem oil (called Rose Defense in the nursery or they have one that
is identical, but called Fruit & Vegetable spray by the same company).
The Neem oil spray should knock out the mildew or at least keep it from
getting worse. As an added benefit, this spray also controls most "bad"
insects while keeping the good. Just don't spray it when bees are
active, as if the spray lands on them it will kill them. Also, mix it
with warm water so it will emulsify properly.
Another option is an ultrafine horticultural oil spray. This is also
organic and is supposed to control powdery mildew as well.
I wonder if you should remove the infected leaves and destroy them or if
the spray will kill the mildew and save the leaves. Does anyone else
know?
