Re: Phantom cucumber plant

This happened to me too, but I'm in the suburbs - definitely not country
around here.  I had planted three dwarf sunflowers in a large pot that I
was growing for my mom.  I watered them and then the next day noticed
that one of the plants was completely missing - no trace at all!  Do
small birds like mockingbirds steal seedlings too?  These were fairly
large, 5" high and fairly stocky.
