Sounds like a lot of you are much more familiar with Rodale than I am, and 
probably the best thing you can do at this point is express your 
dissatisfaction to the publisher personally, as consumers. I'm certainly 
sorry Mel's got to go through the bother of a trial, whatever the facts are.
I don't live far from Mel, I guess, if he's got a Ramona, CA, PO box.  If 
anyone's in contact with him and if he'd like contact numbers for the royalty 
auditors in NY or the National Writer's Union,  or a writerly shoulder to cry 
on, he can drop me an E.
Now -- back to gardening.  All this legal stuff is making me feel like I 
ought to be working instead of staring out at the rain hammering down on my 
garden.
