Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I know we discussed this last fall, and there must be archives, but I don't
know how to get into them. The raised beds at school are happy homes to
more than one ant colony - the biting kind of ant. The kids are anxious to
get their lettuce and radishes in the ground, but the ants have sent them
running when they tried to prepare their squares.
Went to Home Depot for a remedy, read all the labels, and I felt poisened
just from reading the back of the bags. None of the stuff is useable on
crops. I had hoped there would be a weekend remedy, or something I could
put down during spring holidays. Is my only recourse to stir up the mound
and run, then wait until they relocate? Or, how do I get to the sq.ft.
