Re: Planting by the signs

My grandmother is Appalachian (culturally) and she has always planted by the
signs.  She is 89 years old and still has the most wonderful garden.  This
is only my second year gardening and my first year with square foot and
planting by the signs methods.  I have been using the farmers almanac to see
what days are best for planting.  It is best to plant by the water signs of
Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer.   When planting root crops it is best to plant
in the dark of the moon which is the period after the full moon.  Above
ground crops should be planted between the new moon and the full moon.  I'm
still learning the nuances of the method.
