Actually I thought the idea of some terraced  beds was a great one- just mix
em up! Some perenial beds and some vegie beds- then do some prairie  stuff
or ice plant or ground cover around them. How about a ridge of large rocks
anchored with large  herbs like rosemary, lavendar and other bushy stuff
near the edge of the cliff?.The raised beds will definitely help.You just
watch. You may not get it all figured out this year- but you will become
brilliant over the next.You will be full of "why didn't I think of
that?!!!!!s just like everyone else- and then you can do it next fall. If
cliff doesn't fall into the ocean or wherewhere it is hovering over. I see
Cathy and Heathcliff picking tomatoes on Wuthering Heights in my minds eye.
Too bad you don't have a pic to post.-Keep asking- more ideas will come-
