Does anyone know if when transplanting eggplant into larger pots one should
bury the stem as we do with tomatoes, I've also wondered about doing this
with peppers but have never done so for fear of losing my plants. Will
peppers and eggplant grow more roots along the buried stem?.

I did "save" one eggplant which was damping off by burying the stem up to
the starter leaves.
