Superstitious Gardening (Was: Burpee Seeds...)

The previous mentions of "planting by the moon" reminded me of something
an aunt told me.  She's giving me some raspberry bushes and asked me how
many I will want.  When I told her four, she said, "Oh no, you have to
have an odd number."  When I asked her why, she said it was just a
gardening rule to never plant even numbers of anything, only odd.

Has anyone else heard of this?
