Cucumbers often (usually? always?) die of a bacterial wilt spread by
cucumber beetles. I must rely on the wisdom of others, as i have not solved
the problem yet. One solution is to cover the plants with a fine screening.
Unfortunately, this keeps the bees out as well as the beetles, so you must
hand pollinate. Another solution is to plant a second crop of cucumbers, so
that when the first planting croaks, you'll have a second coming along
behind it. Been there, done that, second crop died too. :-(

Squash, it could be the cucumber wilt or the squash vine borer.

What cultivar did you use? Some varieties don't get bigger than tennis balls.

This is a pollination problem. Were there enough corn plants in close
proximity to insure pollination? Was site windy enough to spread the pollen?
