Re: Checking seeds?

Dot,
When I test seeds I put the seeds in the center of a paper towel (one
variety per towel), then fold the paper towel so that the seeds are
enclosed and write the seed variety on the towel. After moistening the
paper towels I put them either in a plastic bag which I seal or in a
freezer container with a tight cover. I check on the seeds by unfolding
the paper towel every few days. Most will begin germinating within a
week, although a few (e.g., pepper) may take longer. I'm still getting
good germination from tomato seeds that are several years old.
Good luck,
Bonnie
