Hi Elgin and all [I've only been lurking a few weeks but what a great list!]
Regarding composting - I don't know about kitty litter or rabbit pellets, but
I'd guess it would be good to chop up the banana peels and I throw in the
eggshells [lightly rinsed] whole [or half I suppose] but let me preface this by
saying I'm a complete compost novice!
The real point of this note was to let you know about the compost list which
has lots of very informative and pleasant folks on it - often it goes way over
my head but these compost pros are always willing to answer the questions of us
compost newbies - the address is compost@listproc.wsu.edu - I think what you do
is send a not to listproc@listproc.wsu.edu and write "subscribe compost
firstname lastname" without the quotes of course, in the body of the message -
I get it in digest version but can't remember how I did it - sorry!
