Are you sure you have powdery mildew? Could it be you have bacterial wilt. I
notice you are in CA. How old are these plants? Have you seen cucumber
beetles around? Is this the first time you have grown cucumbers? If so,
cucumber beetles carry bacterial wilt which kills cucumber plants. When the
disease is advanced, the leaves may turn grey and dry. If this is what is
wrong, then you have lost your plants.
