Hello Shawn,
Organically grown in my book means no chemicals used. The liberal
organic growers might give the plants a dose or two of 10-20-10. The
potatoes that you mentioned are probably not treated. I was planting old
Idaho baking potatoes purchased at a major grocery store chain such as
Safeway, Consumers, I.G.A., Harps, or Walmart.
It must be nice to be living in 9b zone. In zone 5b-6 we had no
winter worth mentioning. Now that it's supposed to be spring, the night
time temperatures are dropping into the single digits. What a pit!
