Trudy,
I use equal parts sugar and boric acid. Put into a covered plastic container
(like a margarine tub), poke a couple of holes about 1-inch up from bottom and
place in ant's path. They take this mix back to the nest and it kills the
nest. I've been using this method for a couple of years and I'm quite pleased.
My son and my cats can't get into it and the ants flock to the stuff!
