I prefer St. Augustine grass. It has the ability to choke out some
weeds. It is a very tough grass. I have a large back yard and in times
of drought the back yard gets no water. The garden of course gets plenty
of water. The grass has dried out to the extent it crunches when stepped
on. But, thens come a good rain and the St. Augustine comes back. Plus
it has the ability to creep into bare spots, if the bare spots are kept
moist. Just one person's opinion.
