Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
While the antique varieties seem more bothered by black spot, it doesn't
kill them. Also, it seems to help (me at least) to plant on the E side of
buildings with quite a bit of aeration between roses and walls. Here in
Texas, they get all the sun they need before noon, and have well dried
leaves before dark and seem to fend off black spot better.
Also, one listmember Doreen Howard needs to be commended! If this was
mentioned before now, I missed it but on the news stands is a Woman's Day
March issue with her gardening column in it. (Kitchen gardens for
beginners.) great article! (martha)
