Re: Mulch

Grass clippings will heat up and smell if used right away.  You will
want to dry them first before mulching.  If you have shredded leaf
material, it can be used as mulch but add some nitrogen material with it
as decomposition will use the nitrogen in your soil.

If you are at all close to the coast you might try seaweed as a mulch. 
It breaks down readily and can be used under your chopped leaves or
bark.  Rinse the seaweed well before laying it down.
