I have three pH meters - that disagree about 25%, two NPK meters that say
there is no fertilizer even if I put them into soil that is green with
rapid-grow. I agree with Janet - for $15.00 we can get a complete soil
test from Cornell U. thru our cooperative agent. And as far as I can tell
the other types of soil analyzers are even worse. I will soon be trying
one from Charley's Greenhouse, Seattle WA, that is at least battery
powered, I hope that that will help. None of my meters has a power source
and I guess relies on ghosts
