Re: Wood Ashes in the garden or compost pile

I asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago on this subject.  I was
told that ashes are highly alkaline and should not be used if you have a
high PH like I do.  However, if you have to add lime to raise your PH,
then adding ashes in small amounts is fine.  I think I'm going to end up
throwing mine away.
